As the launch date approaches it is interesting to see games that are almost done, especially in the light of the E3 marketing fiasco where Sony seemed to have won a victory without any real hardware and mostly pre-rendered demos. In other words, Microsoft had the real technology and real demos and Sony only had hype, yet in eyes of many, Sony's console appeared better.

Well, now we can see that all that was really just a clever marketing on Sony's side. With final hardware ready the first wave of Xbox 360 games looks just as good on Xbox 360 as it looked in the highly praised Sony demos. As an example compare if you will the EA Sports Fight Night Round 3 on PS3 and EA Sports NBA Live 06 on Xbox 360 and you'll see very similar, breathtaking level of detail.

Except that we have no idea what was the PS3 demo running on (or if it was pre-rendered) and Xbox 360 runs games in realtime now.

Now only if I could get the budget for HDTV projector/TV, good 5.1 channel speakers and the Xbox 360. The console seems to be the cheapest by far, sound is somewhat expensive but a good HDTV flat screen/projector is the main problem...
