The latest tests only reassure me in my decision to never play games on the PC anymore (my next console will most likely be XBox360). Take for example the latest and the greatest GeForce 7800GTX - it runs Half-Life 2 at ridiculously high resolution of 2048x1536 w/4xAA +16xAF at 73FPS!

The other games show similar pattern and I think this is the first time reviewers find it hard to burden the card - it handles anything and everything you throw at it. And the price of this beast? Measly $600!

Contrast this to the XBox360 whose price is rumored to be between $300 and $400. You get 720p HD output, 5.1 channel sound, consistent gaming experience, no drivers to install etc. I can't see myself upgrading my PC for gaming purposes ever again...
